I purchased a refurbished laptop from newegg.com about 6 months ago. I was a fierce supporter of the Surface Pro. But after I got my GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini, I quickly realized that I was going to need a workhorse computer to be able to the video editing for my hobby YouTube channel: FPV Walks.
The Dell Precisions 5540, with Intel Xeon E-2276M CPU @2.80GHz processor, 32 GB RAM, 2TB HD, and NVIDIA Quadro T1000 graphics card, has been a great upgrade. It has absolutely removed all latency when processing videos. But there has been ONE BIG problem with this laptop: Sound.
Even at 100% volume, I could barely hear anything.
Luckily, a quick Google search for ‘sound booster’ resulted in many options to resolve the issue. The easiest was FxSound, which can be downloaded at https://www.fxsound.com/download.
Speedy download and quick, easy installation. Intuitive to move sliders to increase/boost sound.
My tip is to have something on constant play in the background (like a song) so that you can immediately hear the difference when adjusting settings to your liking.
I have not been approached by FxSound or compensated for this recommendation.
